More than 15 years in, that clarity is our advantage.

Meat & Bread opened its first location in Vancouver, Canada in 2010. From day one, the experience was straightforward and energetic. An open kitchen, a focused menu of high-quality items, and food served for guest to eat in or take away. Guests can watch porchetta being freshly carved and sandwiches built to order, right in front of them.

Rooted in great hospitality and honest cooking, Meat & Bread is a go to lunch spot then and still is today. Simple food, done properly, served fast.

LICENSING OVERVIEW

That includes the Meat & Bread trademark and copyrighted materials: brand standards, proven recipes, photography, operating systems, and training resources. Everything is organized and accessible through our online portal for you and your local operating partners.

You’re not starting from scratch. You’re building on a platform that’s been refined for over 15 years.

The licensing model provides access to the brand and the support of the full Meat & Bread team through a straightforward monthly location fee. Additional services, such as in-person training, new site floor plan design, and on-the-ground operational support, are available as needed for additional fees.

This is a licensing agreement, not a traditional franchise structure. We provide the brand foundation, operating standards, and guardrails to ensure consistency and quality. Within your defined territory, you retain flexibility around pricing, supply chain decisions, and corporate structure (corporate-owned, franchise model, joint venture, etc.).

Online Portal

Gain full access to the Meat & Bread Online Portal, your central hub for operating excellence.

Inside, you’ll find recipes, step-by-step video training, marketing assets, GM resources, store maintenance guides, and a complete photo library. The portal houses the evolving Meat & Bread Operations Manual, ensuring your team is always working from the most current standards.

Accessible anytime from phone or tablet, the platform combines video, imagery, and clear documentation to create a practical, high-impact learning experience.

Hands on Training

While our online systems provide a strong operational foundation, in-person training is available for teams that want deeper immersion.

You can send key members of your leadership team to our Vancouver training centre for focused, practical experience inside an operating Meat & Bread environment. Alternatively, our team can travel to you to deliver a comprehensive two-week opening training program, designed to ensure your store launches with confidence, consistency, and momentum.

We don’t just teach recipes.
We train teams to execute at speed, uphold standards, and deliver the full Meat & Bread experience from day one.

 

Floor Plans / Design

We provide professionally developed 2D floor plans with basic wall elevations to support the layout of your new Meat & Bread location.

Each plan includes a detailed equipment list tailored to your space, helping ensure operational flow, speed of service, and kitchen efficiency from day one. While local code review and permitting remain the responsibility of your local architect and consultants, our layouts are built from real-world operating experience.

This is not theoretical design. It’s practical, battle-tested thinking.
